Mr. Bledsoe and seconded by Mr. Rothwell. There being no <br />further nominations, the vote was called and the nomination <br />unanimously carried. <br />Mrs. E. R. Lovett was nominated for treasurer by Mayor <br />Treat and secand6d by Mr. Bledsoe. There being no further <br />nominations, the vote was called and the nomination unanimously <br />carried. <br />Mr. Joseph McKenna was nominated for chief of police by <br />Mr. T. A. Dungan and seconded by Mr. Rothwell. There being <br />no further nominations, the vote was called and the nomination <br />unanimously carried. <br />Mr. Gardner Bullis was nominated by Mayor Treat for City <br />AW <br />attorney <br />and seconded <br />by Mr. Bledsoe. There <br />was a question <br />from the <br />floor by Mr. <br />Gutt (24220 Summerhill <br />Avenue). He <br />KM <br />questioned the advisability of having a city attorney who also <br />represents adjoining City of Los Altos. Mayor Treat answered <br />that if a conflict arose, it would be settled at that time. <br />There being no further nominati ons , the vote was called and <br />the nomination unanimously carried. <br />Mr. Dun8an was nominated for deputy mayor by Mr. Rothwell <br />and seconded by Mr. Bledsoe. There being no further nominations, <br />the vote was called and the nomination unanimously carried. <br />Mayor Treat stated that this completed election of officers <br />and that he would present ordinances of an emergency nature <br />which must be read in full.
