5. ONGOING BUSINESS <br />A. Review of Proposals from Traffic Consultants to Prepare a Townwide Sign <br />Review Study in Order to Eliminate Unnecessary Signs (Staff. R. Chiu) <br />Public Works Director Richard Chiu presented the staff report. <br />Council discussion ensued. <br />MOTION MADE AND SECONDED: Councilmember Waldeck moved to <br />approve awarding a contract to Nelson/Nygaard Consulting to Prepare a Townwide <br />Sign Review Study in Order to Eliminate Unnecessary Signs. Review of the Community Services Grant Distribution Process (Staff: Y. Carter) <br />Administrative Services Director Yulia Carter presented the staff report. <br />Council discussion ensued. <br />DIRECTION: Add to the September City Council meeting an item to distribute <br />grants; the Council shall choose three or four organizations to divide the $30,000 <br />budgeted for such purpose. Staff will contact groups from the prior year's list to <br />determine if they want to be included again. <br />C. Update on Stanford's Response to the Coyote Hill Parking Proposal (Staff: C. <br />Cahill) <br />City Manager Carl Cahill provided an update on the status of the Coyote Hill <br />parking issue. <br />Council discussion ensued.
