CITY COUNCIL <br /> TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br /> August 5, 1963 <br /> The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br /> was called to order Monday, August 5, 1963, by Mayor Wmi B. Clayton, <br /> at 7: 55 P. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills , <br /> California. <br /> ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Bowler, Fowle , Henley, Mayor Clayton <br /> ABSENT : Councilman Aiken <br /> MINUTES: July 15, 1963. <br /> ACTION: <br /> Adopt Minutes of July 15, 1963 as submitted. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> 1. Nestor Barrett - Mr. Barrett , the Town Planning Consultant , re- <br /> ported in his letter, dated July 31 , 1963 , on the meeting he <br /> attended in regard to use permit application of the Masonic Lodge <br /> (Royal Hodge Property) . He stated that the County Planning <br /> Commissioners decided they should look at the site and continue the <br /> case to August 7, 1963. Mr. Barrett will represent the. Town at <br /> this meeting. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS: None . <br /> COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> 1. Amendment to Ordinance No. 78 (Zoning Ordinance) - Recommendation <br /> for change in Setback Requirements, submitted by the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> Inasmuch as this Amendment would require a separate Ordinance , <br /> the Council referred the proposed Amendment to the City Attorney <br /> for study, to be placed on the Agenda for the next.Regular Meeting <br /> of the Council, August 19, 1963. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Schwab, L. (V-150-63) - Reduction in Setback Requirements for <br /> Residence . <br /> Deputy City Clerk Clayton J. Smith reported that the Planning <br /> Commission had previously recommended approval on July 8, 1963 for <br /> a greater variance and saw no need to consider a request for a <br /> smaller variance . Consequently, no recommendation was made by the <br /> Commission, with regard to this request , <br /> h.„1 Mr. R. Clark Smith commented that, on behalf of his neighbors , he <br /> would like to see the house remain where it is presently located. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk stated that the variance requested at this <br /> time would be to 68'6". <br />
