AND TRAFF,IC UPON THE STREETS, SIDEWUZS AND OTHER PUBLIC AND PRIVATE VEHICLESPLACES NTHEREON,, AND E TOWN OF LREPEALING ALLOS ALTOS LORD NANCESTEE , NA CONFLICINGTTHEREWITH.ONTROL F THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE T017N OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ARTICLE I DEFINITIONS SECTION 1. Definitions of Words and Phrases. The followin5 words and phrases when used in this ordinance shall for the purpose of this ordinance have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this Article. SECTION 1.1. Motor Vehicle Code Definitionsto be Used. .. Whenever any words or phrases used in this ordinance are not defined herein, but are defined .inthe Vehicle Code of the State of California and amendments thereto, such definitions are incorporated herein and shall be deemed to apply to.such words and phrases used herein as though set forth herein in full. SECTION 1.2; Bicycle. A light vehicle without a motor, having two (2) wheels, handle bars and a seat or seats and propelled by the operator. - SECTION 1.3• Council. The Council of the City. of the Town of Los Altos Hills. SECTION 1.4 Curb. The lateral boundary of the roadway whether such curb be marked by curbing construction, or not so marked; the word "curb" as herein used shall not include the line dividing the roadway of a street from parking strips in the center of a street, nor from tracks or rights-of-way of public utility companies. SECTION 1.5• Divisional Island. A raised island located in the road,,jay and separating opposing or conflicting streams of traffic. SECTION 1.6. Park. To stand or leave standing any vehicle, whether occupied or lot, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually ngaged in loading or unloading of passengers or materials.
