AND TRAFF,IC UPON THE STREETS, SIDEWUZS AND OTHER PUBLIC AND PRIVATE <br />VEHICLESPLACES NTHEREON,, AND E TOWN OF LREPEALING ALLOS ALTOS LORD NANCESTEE , NA CONFLICINGTTHEREWITH.ONTROL F <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE T017N OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />ARTICLE I <br />DEFINITIONS <br />SECTION 1. Definitions of Words and Phrases. <br />The followin5 words and phrases when used in this ordinance shall <br />for the purpose of this ordinance have the meanings respectively ascribed <br />to them in this Article. <br />SECTION 1.1. Motor Vehicle Code Definitionsto be Used. .. <br />Whenever any words or phrases used in this ordinance are not defined <br />herein, but are defined .inthe Vehicle Code of the State of California <br />and amendments thereto, such definitions are incorporated herein and shall <br />be deemed to apply to.such words and phrases used herein as though set <br />forth herein in full. <br />SECTION 1.2; Bicycle. <br />A light vehicle without a motor, having two (2) wheels, handle bars <br />and a seat or seats and propelled by the operator. - <br />SECTION 1.3• Council. <br />The Council of the City. of the Town of Los Altos Hills. <br />SECTION 1.4 Curb. <br />The lateral boundary of the roadway whether such curb be marked by <br />curbing construction, or not so marked; the word "curb" as herein used <br />shall not include the line dividing the roadway of a street from parking <br />strips in the center of a street, nor from tracks or rights-of-way of <br />public utility companies. <br />SECTION 1.5• Divisional Island. <br />A raised island located in the road,,jay and separating opposing or <br />conflicting streams of traffic. <br />SECTION 1.6. Park. <br />To stand or leave standing any vehicle, whether occupied or lot, <br />otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually ngaged <br />in loading or unloading of passengers or materials. <br />
