Reclassification shall not be used for the purpose of <br /> avoiding restrictions concerning demotions and promotions. <br /> SECTION 4 <br /> THE SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT PROCESS <br /> 4.1 APPLICATION PROCESS <br /> All openings shallbe publicized by placing an appropriate classified advertisement <br /> regarding the position in one or more regional newspapers of general circulation,.by. <br /> posting announcements on official bulletin, boards;.;and by such other recruiting, <br /> activities as the City Manager deems necessary or advisable to fill a particular <br /> position in a_way which meets: the Town's goal of obtaining the most qualified, <br /> employees. <br /> The Announcement shall include;. .Titleand pay for the position,the nature Of the <br /> work to.be performed•, the minimum qualifications; the essential functions of the <br /> position; the method of applying;-the closing date for the application, if one is <br /> established; and such other information as seems-desirable in the discretion of the. <br /> City Manager <br /> 42 APPLICATION'FORMS <br /> Job applications shall be made on forms provided by the. City Manager. : All. <br /> applications must be completed in full and signed by the person applying. <br /> 4.3 DISQUALIFICATION OF APPLICATIONS <br /> The City Manager shall reject an application, or after examination, shall disqualify or <br /> remove the applicant's name from an eligible list, if the applicant: <br /> 1. Has made false statements, or practiced any deceptionor fraud on the <br /> application, declarations or in securing eligibility appointment; <br /> 2. Is found to lack any of the requirements, certifications, or qualifications for <br /> the position involved; <br /> Personnel Policy Manual 6 02/07/2002 -. <br />
