Casey suggested that the components of the baseline service be listed and input be <br />requested from residents on which services they were interested in, willing to pay <br />for separately, etc. This could be done by the Los Altos Garbage Company by way of a <br />survey mailed with their bills. Hubbard noted that the baseline charge was not <br />optional and Siegel noted that State Mandates were involved. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />7. STAFF REPORTS <br />8.1 City Manager <br />8.1.1 Computers <br />The City Manager reported that the Town's new computers had been installed. <br />8.1.2 Condemnation Process <br />The City Manager noted that he had a meeting scheduled with the City <br />Attorney on the condemnation process for the McCullouch Subdivision <br />Path and a report would be forthcoming to the Council. <br />8.2 City Attorney <br />8.2.1 Palo Alto School District <br />The City Attorney noted that the Palo Alto School District had recently <br />adopted school fees in the amount of $1.84 per square foot. <br />8.2.2 City Attorney for Portola Valley <br />The City Attorney noted that she was recently appointed City Attorney <br />for Portola Valley. <br />8.3 City Clerk <br />8.3.1 Report on Council Correspondence dated 5/29/96 <br />It was agreed the City Manager would call June Stough about her letter on leaf <br />blowers and explain the Town's ordinances on noise/use of gardening <br />equipment/hours, etc. It would be suggested that hopefully the neighbors could <br />work this out but if not they might want to try mediation. <br />`.
