Reports from Ad Hoc Camtittees: <br />a) Town Hall Clean Up Ad Hoc Camittee Report <br />Doni Hubbard, Chairman, reported that the Ad Hoc Camnittee had met several times <br />and three bids received for the painting of Town Hall. In addition, the <br />Camwnity Relations Committee had been consulted for their opinion and their <br />recomendation was the hiring of a professional painter to complete the job with <br />volunteers to perform the prepartory work. <br />MOTION SECONDED AMID CAPRTFTI: moved by Allison, seconded by Hillestad and passed <br />unanimously to authorize an expenditure of up to $1,500 for the painting of Tann <br />Hall (interior), with the proviso that the references for the recoed firm <br />be checked beforehand. <br />b) Heritage Preserve Commission <br />Councilman Perkins, Chairman, reported that the commission had agreed on the name <br />'heritage preserve' as the most appropriate for their group. He further reported <br />that plans were being prepared for the preserve and donations of historical equip- <br />ment were being received. On behalf of the commission, he encouraged anyone wishing <br />to donate to contact either the commission or Tann Hall. <br />3. Reports from the Planning Comnission: <br />Cammissioner Rydell reported that there had been three public hearings at the <br />January 11, 1984 Planning Cammmission Meeting: Arastra Lands, Lands of Salbu and <br />Lands of Hanson. Both Lands of Sa]bu and Lands of Hanson had been denied by the <br />Planning Commission without prejudice. <br />4. Cmvm eats from the Council: <br />a) Mayor van Tamelen: <br />1) Announcement of the Town's Birthday Party - Friday, January 27, 1984 <br />from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Tuan Hall. <br />2) E1 Monte Road now reopened to vehicular traffic. <br />3) The Mayor is the Town's representative on the County's arergency <br />Preparedness Council and will keep the Town advised of developments. <br />4) The Mayor reported receipt of a request from Mr. Robert Stutz, <br />President of the Horsemen's Association, for repairs to the Riding <br />Ring. Matter referred to staff and will be agendized when staff <br />report is Meted. <br />5) The Mayor and Councilman Proft had reviewed the list of those <br />receiving complimentary copies of the Council agendas and minutes. <br />Notices would be sent stating that this was no longer a practice of <br />( the Town and asking if they wished to subscribe to these doaments. <br />-5- <br />
