F. ORDINANCES FOR INTRODUCTION: <br />irr I. Ordinance No. 210 amending Los Altos Hills Municipal Code by adding <br />Provisions for placement of Sewer Service Charges on the tax rolls. <br />The City Attorney read the Ordinance by Title. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Miller moved, seconded by <br />Councilman Kubby and carried unanimously to waive further reading and <br />Introduce the Ordinance. <br />G. STAFF REPORTS: <br />The City Manager stated that two firms had submitted bids on the trac- <br />tor/backhoe to be purchased by the Town: Noble Ford from San Jose at <br />$11,500, and Contractors' Machinery In San Jose, at $11,800. Mr. <br />Lawson stated further that staff wished to purchase at the low bid,but <br />that Ford's bid did not Include two Items specified in the bid Invita- <br />tion. He requested authorization from the Council to purchase the <br />tractor which the City Engineer and City Manager feel comes closest to <br />the specifications of the bid Invitation, stating further that the City <br />Attorney would be consulted as to the propriety of any final bid accept- <br />ance before acceptance was given. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Kubby moved, seconded by <br />Councilman Miller and carried unanimously, that the City Manager be <br />authorized to accept that bid for tractor/backhoe/loader which Is clo- <br />sest to the Town's specifications, the low bid to be accepted if <br />possible. <br />2. The Public Works Director/City Engineer, Mr. Russell, presented a re- <br />port outlining the current status of the Page Mill Road repair project. <br />3. The City Manager presented a report regarding BSA conditions Imposed <br />In 1971 on Lot 24, Tract 2958, on Olive Tree Court (a private road), <br />requiring that prior to building In -tract and off -tract drainage as <br />required by the Town Engineer be put in, and that drainage from the <br />lot's driveway be disposed of In the existing swale at a point where <br />the driveway meets the road, all surface water from the common combined <br />driveway to be Intercepted and conducted Into the existing swale. Mr. <br />Lawson stated further the Staff's recommendation that the present own- <br />ers, Mr. and Mrs. Valente, comply with the conditions prescribed. <br />It was the consensus of Council that the staff's recommendation be <br />accepted and that Staff proceed as directed by the conditions of the <br />BSA. <br />The Council suggested that Staff contact the developer, or that the <br />owners may wish to contact the original developer of the lot in question <br />for the purpose of obtaining assistance in meeting the conditions, <br />which were Imposed on the original developer. <br />-4- <br />
