AGENT for Security National Bank of Reno (BSA -68-71) - <br />RERUEST FOR BUILDING SITE APPROVAL OF ONE LOT, #24, TRACT #2958, SERVED <br />BY PRIVATE ROAD AT THE END OF OLIVE TREE COURT. <br />Staff reviewed the subject application noting this lot was created in May of <br />1961 and that building site approval is required at this time before it can <br />be used as a building site, The Planning Commission has recommended approval <br />of this request, subject to the conditions of the Check List. <br />MOTION,SLOPDSD AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Helgesson and carried unanimously to grant building site approval for one (1) <br />lot, #24, Tract #2958, subject to the conditions of the Check List. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 3• <br />PRESENTATION OF THE STANFORD LARD USE PLAN. <br />Mr. Robert R. Augsburger, Vice President for Business and Finance, Stanford <br />University, introduced Mr. Boyd C. Smith, Manager of Stanford University Real <br />Estate, who presented the Livingston and Blayney Report on the Stanford <br />University Land Use Policy/Plan. <br />Mr. Smith indicated that it would be this Fall before Stanford would be dis- <br />cussing this proposal so there is time for feedback from interested parties <br />and adjacent communities. In addition to questions and comments from the <br />City Council, Mr, Thomas P. McReynolds, 26045 Moody Road, and Mrs. Dewey L. <br />Shepherd, 13961 Fremont Pines Lane, spoke from the Floor. <br />The general concensus is that Stanford University needs to share the burden <br />in providing low/moderate income housing for the people working in the <br />industries located on Stanford Lands. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 4: <br />ACTION ON PENDING LEGISLATIVE MATTERS. <br />Councilman Grabowski reported on SB 1352, which provides for the retirement <br />of police and firemen at age 50 with 25 years of service at 50% of their <br />average annual income. He recommended that the Town go on record opposing <br />SB 1352. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Grabowski moved, seconded by <br />Councilman Helgesson and carried unanimously that the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />oppose SB 1352, and that communications be forwarded to our legislators. <br />Councilman Grabowski reported on the trip to Sacramento on June 23, 1971 <br />w-th Councilman Helgesson and Or. Marjorie W. Evans, calling specific <br />attention to the problem of rerouting incoming air traffic from the Los <br />Angeles area. <br />
