-5 - <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 5: <br />CONSIDERATION OF AMENDED CONTRACT WITH SANTA CLARA COUNTY FOR SHERIFF SERVICES 5€77 <br />FOR 19 -69: <br />` City Clerk presented Staff report, noting the two basic changes in the amended <br />�r contract were (1) Traffic enforcement shall include the utilization of radar <br />units (omitting the requirement of a minimum of 5 shifts per week), and (2) <br />the increase to ten hours of daily police service will become effective October <br />1st, effecting a saving of $741.04. <br />Mr. C. D. Marron, representing the County Sheriff's Office, noted the delay to <br />October was necessitated by the Board approval for the extra personnel to carry <br />out this and other new contracts. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Benson moved, seconded by Helgesson, <br />that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills approve the amended contract <br />with Santa Clara County for Sheriff Services for the Fiscal year 1968-69, <br />was unanimously carried by roll call vote: Ayes: Councilman Benson, Davey, <br />Fowls, Helgesson, Mayor Aiken. Noes: None. Absent: None. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 1. <br />DEER PARK ACRES (342-68) Tentative Map, 45 lots. Page Mill Road. Engrs. Clegg 6 �8 <br />and Foulk. <br />City Clerk presented Staff report noting the Planning Comission had unanimously <br />approved the Tentative Map of 71+ acre parcel at Page Mill and Arastradero Roads <br />and that after five months of meetings and hearings, the proposed number of lots <br />has been reduced from 56 to 45 lots and a comprehensive Check List completed. <br />Check List was projected on the screen for audience viewing and reviewed item by <br />item. <br />MOTION AND SECOND: Councilman Benson moved, seconded by Helgesson that the <br />Tentative Map of Deer Park Acres (342-68), 45 lots, be approved in accordance <br />with the conditions of the Check List. <br />Councilman Davey noted that in the future a path might be needed on both sides <br />of the in -tract road, and that construction of the driveways should accommodate <br />this possibility. Council discussion followed, Councilman Fowle and Commissioner <br />Hibner stating their reasons for the impracticability and difficulty of this <br />suggestion. <br />Mr. R. Gulich, representing Page Mill Park, Inc., expressed his appreciation to <br />the Planning Commission for their cooperation. <br />VOTE: The Motion to approve the Tentative Map of Deer Park Acres was carried <br />by a unanimous voice vote. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 6: <br />REQUEST OF F. L. MARTINELLI FOR TEMPORARY SEPTIC TANK PERMIT, TRACT NO. 4114, ®O <br />4W MOODY ROAD. <br />Staff Report was presented, noting the County Health Department recommended <br />approval of Mr. Martinelli's request to install septic tanks in above tract <br />in accordance with full and complete standards of Ordinance No. 136 and subject <br />to connection of sanitary sewers when available. City Clerk noted that the <br />duration of the temporary permit would be two years and would be subject to review <br />at that time.. <br />
