USE PERMIT: <br />1. Los Altos Hills Country Club - Request for Building permit <br />1.._r for Swimming Pool and Locker Rooms. <br />At 10:25 P. Ni-, the riayor opened the Public Hearing. <br />The following residents commented on their opposition to any <br />change in the existing facilities at Los Altos Hills Country <br />Club and ''.dobe Creek Lodge: Messrs. G. B. Ferrari, V. rhy, <br />G. Bullis, C. S. French, C. 11acReynolds, and Mrs. R. Towle. <br />Mr. Ferrari, 25791 Moody Road, posed legal questions and <br />stated that the ordinances would not allow approval of such <br />construction and requested a written ruling from the City <br />Attorney according to Ordinance He. 78, Section 13:20, E. <br />Mr. Phy, 25616 Boody Road, presented a petition of 65 signatures <br />orposing any change. <br />The following residents commented in favor of the swimming pool: <br />Messrs. A. J. Rock, David Wilkinson, G. Austin, L. Cedric <br />P'acabee, D. Bellucci and Mrs. F. Olgiati. <br />At 11:05 P• M., the Mayor closed the Public Hearing. <br />Council was polled for their comments and it was their opinion, <br />except for Councilman liken, that since a recordable covenant <br />has been submitted, that this construction would actually reduce <br />the use of the property and would be in the best interests of <br />the Town; and,that the matter before the Council was to approve <br />a building permit for a pool and locker rooms, which does not <br />violate the ordinance. <br />ACTION: <br />Approve the issuance of a building permit for <br />a 75' swimming pool and locker rooms, subject to: <br />1) Submission and approval of detailed building <br />plans; <br />2) .Recordation of a covenant by which the owners <br />agree that: <br />A. Granting of this permit will not <br />constitute an extension in any way <br />of the non -conforming use existing on <br />the property. <br />B. The facilities constructed will be used <br />only by members of Los Altos Hills <br />Country Club, a private club. <br />3) Approval of all cognizant agencies of the Town. <br />MOTION: Bowler; SECOND: Davey <br />i Mrs. R. L. Jones, President of the Los Altos Hills Association, <br />-- reiterated the ssociation4stand opposing the pool. <br />-4- <br />
