The Council accepted <br />the offer with gratitude. <br />Use of T_9M Hall: Councilman Hoefler gave a <br />pre nary report as the Town Hall Committee <br />has not completed its study. The Town Hall will <br />be used for public meetings of a non-political or <br />non -controversial nature, and users using the Hall <br />will be held responsible for the cleaning and <br />damages. As yet, no fees have been decided upon. <br />All meetings will be public except those designated <br />by the City Council,. <br />4. <br />Luthheran .some for the Agg;A: <br />a) A letter was received from the Los Altos Hills <br />Association,14arch 29, 1957., stating they strongly <br />oppose the granting of a Use Permit for this <br />Home. <br />Reasons: <br />i. Construction will change the present rural - <br />residential nature of this area. <br />2. Health hasard. <br />30 Traffic congestion - there is limited access, <br />The letter was signed by Jack R. Benjamin, <br />acting Chairman. <br />b) A letter was received from William Powell, <br />Planning Commissioner, April 1, 1957, stating <br />that the Commission has postponed consideration <br />to the Planning Commission meeting on April 4, 1957• <br />c) Mr. B.O. Huttlinger, realtor, pointed out that <br />access to the Home would be completely over <br />Town of Los Altos Hills roads. Also, the Fire <br />Chief stated that he cannot adequately protect <br />the Home over these roads. <br />d) Mr. Daley, property owner whose property is <br />adjacent to the proposed Home, also spoke and <br />expressed his opposition., <br />e) The matter was referred to the Planning Commission <br />and they were directed to write their recommenda- <br />tions directly to the County Planning Commission <br />without awaiting formal confirmation by the Council. <br />-2- <br />
